The specialist difference

Anyone can move a machine.
We move the magnet.

An MRI is a superconducting magnet holding thousands of liters of liquid helium. A mishandled de-install means a quench — a six-figure loss and a magnet no one will buy. That gap between a machinery mover and an MRI specialist is the entire job. It’s all we do.

No juggling a rigger, a freight company, and a data vendor yourself. One accountable partner coordinates every step — so nothing falls through the cracks and your date holds.

Fig. 05 — One Accountable Partner

You’re not buying a service. You’re escaping a headache.

Moving an MRI is rigging, cryogen handling, and structural know-how — not a truck and a dolly. This is what “done clean and safe” actually requires, and why the crew matters.

The usual way

  • A buyer, a de-install engineer, a rigger, a freight company — four vendors
  • Four contracts, four invoices, four schedules to align
  • Every handoff is a finger-pointing opportunity
  • If the magnet quenches, nobody owns it

The RAS way

  • One call, one contract, one point of contact
  • First call to final haul, coordinated for you
  • We manage the crews, freight, and paperwork
  • One name on the outcome. Ours.
  • Fig. 03 — Why Sellers Call

The seller is the customer here.

A radiology asset is worth six or seven figures and carries real compliance risk. We treat it that way — from the first phone call.

    Top dollar, honestly

We’re techs, not flippers. We know what a well-kept magnet is actually worth — and we pay a fair, honest number for it.

    Zero hassle

One contract, one call. Valuation, de-install, rigging, freight and data destruction — all coordinated and handled, fully insured, start to finish.

    Clean room, on schedule

Your date holds and the room is left broom-clean. The thing facilities directors actually get judged on — done right, every time.

    SAN ANTONIO, TX — HQ

We buy and remove MRI and imaging equipment across San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and Dallas — and travel nationwide for the right system. A hospital in Ohio or an imaging center in Phoenix gets the same crew, freight, and accountability.

    Fig. 07 — Common Questions

    Straight answers, before you call.

    What's my system worth?

It depends on the modality, make and model, age, and condition — for MRI, the field strength and cold-head hours; for CT, the tube. Whether it's at-field or down matters too. Send the details and you'll have a firm, fair number in 24–48 hours, no obligation.

    Who handles the de-install?

We manage it end to end. Disconnect, cold-head shutdown or magnet ramp-down, rigging, crating, and insured transport — all coordinated under one contract. Whether our crew handles the lift or we bring in a vetted rigging partner, we own the outcome and you have one point of contact.

    What about the cryogens?

Handled to spec. We manage cryogen recovery and the cold-head procedure safely, so there's no quench risk from a rushed or unqualified de-install. That's the exact step general riggers get wrong — and the step we specialize in.

How fast can you clear the room?

Most rooms are cleared broom-clean in a day or two on site once we're scheduled. We hit your date, because downtime and overruns are the thing facilities directors actually get judged on.

Do you buy systems that are down?

Yes. Down, de-installed, or sitting in storage — we buy systems in any condition. A non-functional magnet still carries real recoverable value in parts, coils, and the platform. Tell us the state and we'll quote it honestly.

What do you need from us?

The make and model, rough age, location, and a few photos if you have them — or just a phone call. From there we handle the valuation, paperwork, scheduling, de-install, certified data destruction, and haul. First call to final haul.
